Victory Pushes Blue Jays Record to 35-31
|
Toronto left fielder Orestes Kindelán had a 3-RBI game, which proved instrumental in his team beating the Arizona Diamondbacks, 7-3. Kindelán picked up 1 single and 2 doubles in the ballgame. Hipolito Pichardo, credited with the win, is now 10-3. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits in 8.1 innings. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 35-31 with this latest triumph.
Toronto used the timely hitting of Scott Brosius to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Kindelán.
