Johnson Joins Kings of Clout with #800
Swinging his way into the record books, Howard Johnson reached the 800 homer mark today at League Park against the Boston Red Sox. He went 2-for-3 with 2 runs batted in and 2 runs on the day, although Cleveland would go down to defeat 8-3.

"It was a distraction," Johnson said of his 800th home run. "I'm happy it's over. I just wish I'd been able to make a difference in the outcome today."

A check of his lifetime stats shows Johnson has a career .247 average with 2261 hits, 361 doubles, 24 triples, 800 home runs and 1853 RBIs. To date he has scored 1678 runs, walked 1150 times and stolen 450 bases.
