Creams Slip Past Cincinnati, 9-8
The Milwaukee Creams knocked off the Cincinnati Reds, 9-8, at Milwaukee County Stadium. Garret Anderson, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Milwaukee won. The left fielder went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Milwaukee reliever Jeff Calhoun picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Arthur Rhodes absorbed the loss. Milwaukee has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Mike Greenwell hit a run-scoring double off Arthur Rhodes in the bottom of the 11th, which put the Creams in front, 9-8. In addition to the double, Greenwell had 2 singles, while going 3 for 6.
