Marlins Get Past Chicago for 10-9 Win
With designated hitter Todd Walker leading the charge, the Florida Marlins defeated the Chicago Cubs, 10-9, at Joe Robbie Stadium. Walker hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Reliever Billy Wagner picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. Alberto Reyes took the loss. Florida now has a 3-game win streak.

Walker had a game-changing single in the bottom of the ninth. On a 0-1 slider from Alberto Reyes, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Marlins a 10-9 lead. It was the 61st hit of the year for Walker.

"Exhilarating win," said Walker.
