Twins Score Late, Upend Spiders, 3-2
Minnesota Twins starter Steve Parris turned in a top-notch performance against the Cleveland Spiders at Metrodome. The result was a win for the Twins, 3-2. John Rocker earned the save, his 3rd, for the Twins. Minnesota currently is in 5th place in the Federal League Central Division at 35-39.

The Twins beat the Spiders with some clutch hitting. The single by Jerome Walton in the bottom of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Walton gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he came through with the big hit.

Afterward, Twins manager Darren Fischbach was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
