Charlotte got a strong outing from Fumiya Nishiguchi as the Knights defeated the Milwaukee Creams, 4-1, at Milwaukee County Stadium. Bret Saberhagen notched his 3rd save in 4 chances. Charlotte goes to 51-28. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.

Chuck Knoblauch had a go-ahead double for Charlotte in the top of the sixth inning. With two out and a runner on 1st, the former first round draft pick hit a run-scoring double off Phil Leftwich. His 14th double of the season made the score 2-1.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Charlotte manager Tyler Vuxta.
