Spiders Beat Visiting Phillies, 7-3
Cleveland beat Philadelphia on the strength of starter Juan Nieves's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. Philadelphia's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

Danny Bautista had a big 2-run double for the Spiders in the bottom of the first inning. With Cleveland leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Chris Haney and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spiders ahead, 4-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Nieves. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
