Chicago-Washington Trade: Cirillo for Nunnally Saturday, April 11th, 1998 It is being reported in Washington that the Senators and the Chicago Cubs have agreed on a trade. According to anonymous sources 26-year-old 3B Willie Greene and 26-year-old CF Jon Nunnally will be dealt to the Cubs in return for 25-year-old LHP Mike Holtz and 28-year-old 3B Jeff Cirillo. This year Cirillo is batting .190 with 8 hits, 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, 3 walks, .261 OBP and has scored 4 runs. Nunnally has played in 350 games with a .207 lifetime batting average. Among his 234 hits are 34 doubles, 15 triples and 58 home runs. He also has scored 170 runs and driven in 147 runs. |
