Cordero and Nabholz Suspended for Free-for-All Tuesday, April 21st, 1998 Wil Cordero of the Detroit Tigers and Chris Nabholz of the Colorado Rockies will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Tigers-Rockies game at Tiger Stadium. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Cordero and Nabholz will begin serving them soon. Batting .253 to date, Cordero has 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. Nabholz has a 2-2 season record so far. In 5 starts, he has fanned 23 batters in 32.2 innings with a 3.31 ERA. |
