Clark and Ishii Fight, Get Suspended Sunday, April 26th, 1998 Will Clark of Toronto and Takehiro Ishii of New York were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Clark will have to miss 3 games for his part in the brawl, while Ishii was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. So far this season Clark has put up a .200 batting average with 12 hits, 5 home runs and 12 RBIs. Thus far this season Ishii has posted a 3-1 record, started 5 games, struck out 34 batters in 27 innings and compiled a 3.00 ERA. |
