April's Premier Pitcher Announced by UL Friday, May 1st, 1998 In April, Livan Hernandez tore through the United League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 23 years old. The young Washington starter posted a 6-0 mark and an ERA of 1.53 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 47 innings he collected 47 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .150 average. |
