Mussina Dominates Cubs in Shutout Sunday, May 3rd, 1998 Mike Mussina of the Cincinnati Reds humiliated the Chicago Cubs at Riverfront Stadium today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 4 hits. "He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Chicago manager Anthony Perez, after the game. Mussina whiffed 9 and walked 2 in the 3-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Mussina said. "I was making good pitches the entire game." In 7 starts this year Mussina has recorded a 4-3 record and a 3.47 ERA.
