UL Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, May 4th, 1998 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Ben Grieve was rewarded with the United League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Detroit Tigers left fielder hit .483 while collecting 14 hits in 29 at-bats, 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. Presently Grieve is batting .287 with 31 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 21 runs and scored 15 times. |
