Boston Shut Out by Brown
Sunday, May 17th, 1998
Today was Kevin Brown's turn in the rotation for the Kansas City Royals and he made the most of it, shutting out the Boston Red Sox on 2 hits.

The 33-year-old right-hander led the Royals to an easy 7-0 victory, allowing 4 walks and tallying 13 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Boston manager Brett Williams said. "Brown certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."

On his stats sheet this season Brown shows a 8-1 record, 10 starts, 85.1 innings, 91 strikeouts and a 1.48 ERA.
