Klesko on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, May 18th, 1998 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Ryan Klesko was rewarded with the United League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman hit .429 while collecting 12 hits in 28 at-bats, 5 home runs and 9 RBIs. For the season Klesko has hit .272 with 11 home runs and 29 RBIs.
