Florida Trades Person for Orlando's Jordan Saturday, July 4th, 1998 The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Marlins and Devil Rays have consummated a trade. Orlando will receive 26-year-old RHP Cory Lidle and 28-year-old minor league RHP Robert Person in a swap for 31-year-old LF Brian Jordan and 25-year-old minor league LHP C J Nitkowski. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction." For the year Jordan is batting .240 with 76 hits and 15 home runs. He has scored 38 times and driven in 36. |
