Joe Johnson Whips Phillies for #200 Sunday, July 5th, 1998 History was made today at Orlando Citrus Bowl -- Joe Johnson won game #200 to seal his name in the league record books. The Orlando ace downed the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2 to gain entrance into the elite 200 Club. "I was wound up at first. I think I threw too hard," remarked Johnson, "I had to calm down and go out there and pitch... not just throw. I think I got better as the game wore on. I started to think less about 200 wins and more about doing what I had to do." Johnson has gone 200-152 with an ERA of 3.68 in his career, piling up 1499 strikeouts in 3158.1 innings pitched.
