Players Suspended in Padres-Dodgers Donnybrook Saturday, August 15th, 1998 Tony Clark of the San Diego Padres and Bartolo Colon of the Los Angeles Dodgers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Padres-Dodgers game at Jack Murphy Stadium.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Clark and Colon will begin serving them soon.
In 95 games this season Clark is batting .290 with 96 hits and 31 home runs. He has scored 58 runs and driven in 71.
This year Colon has compiled a 12-10 mark with a 4.09 ERA in 26 starts.
