Year Ends for Wade Boggs in Brooklyn

The season is finished for Wade Boggs of the Brooklyn Cyclones. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Cyclones second baseman suffered a broken bone in the elbow while running the bases in a recent game against the Asheville Moonshiners. Team doctors said it would take at least 6 months to heal.
In 11 games this season Boggs is batting .395 with 15 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 4 runs and driven in 6.
