League Suspends Stovall and Brownson for Fisticuffs Tuesday, April 21st, 1998 DaRond Stovall of the Brooklyn Cyclones and Mark Brownson of the Jacksonville Suns received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 3 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Ballpark of Fremont. This season Stovall is batting .289 with 22 hits, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs, 11 walks, .393 OBP and has scored 10 runs. He has played in 21 games. For the year Brownson has compiled a 1-0 record with a 11.25 ERA. |
