Pulido Cruises to Shutout Friday, April 24th, 1998 Today was Carlos Pulido's turn in the rotation for the Columbus Clippers and he made the most of it, shutting out the Brooklyn Cyclones on 5 hits. The 26-year-old left-hander led the Clippers to an easy 10-0 victory, allowing 4 walks and tallying 7 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Brooklyn manager said. "Pulido certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds." Pulido has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 3-1 record with a 4.14 ERA.
