Hot Bat Cooled, Brown Hitless Against Suns Monday, April 27th, 1998 The hitting streak that Danville left fielder Brant Brown had kept going for 23 games was ended today by the Jacksonville Suns. Brown was stymied over 4 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 4-1 victory at Field of the Running Rebels. "Hitting streaks come and go," Brown said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." Currently Brown is batting .395 with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. |
