Hocking 5-for-5 Against Moonshiners Sunday, May 10th, 1998 Denny Hocking got the glory and the headlines today, but the Asheville Moonshiners left with the win. The Rochester center fielder easily handled the Moonshiners pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Rochester Red Wings came out on the short end of the 9-8 score. Hocking told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Denny Hocking doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
