Minchey Tosses Shutout Against Otters Friday, May 15th, 1998 Nate Minchey of the Bluff City Beasties spun his magic on the Milwaukee Otters today. He blanked them 6-0 on 8 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and no walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Minchey said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Bluff City skipper said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Nate pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. This year Minchey has a 3-2 mark in 9 starts with a 2.39 ERA.
