Fonville Pounds PAC Pitchers This Week Monday, June 1st, 1998 Tacoma Rainiers shortstop Chad Fonville had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Pacific named him Player of the Week. Fonville banged out 12 hits in 18 at-bats on the way to a .667 batting average. He also racked up no home runs, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This season Fonville has hit at a .332 clip with 15 RBIs, 1 home runs and 33 runs scored. |
