ATL Announces Best Batter Award Monday, June 1st, 1998 Not known for his offensive prowess, Angel Echevarria set the league afire in May and took home the Atlantic Batter of the Month award. The Jacksonville left fielder posted a steady .384 batting average, 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and 29 runs. So far on the season Echevarria is hitting .361 with 12 home runs, 35 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has 70 hits and played in 46 games. |
