Hollins Top Hitter in PAC in May Monday, June 1st, 1998 Dave Hollins, the Tucson Tarantulas first baseman, certainly made his name known to Pacific hurlers over the last month. He consistently introduced himself with hit after hit and came away with May's Pacific Batter of the Month award. He slashed and bashed his way to a .400 batting average while tallying up 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He also worked PAC pitchers for 13 walks and a .478 on-base percentage. So far this year in 55 games Hollins is hitting .363 with 9 home runs, 31 RBIs and 35 runs scored. |
