Storm Chasers Hurler Named PAC's Best Starter Monday, June 1st, 1998 In May, Geremi Gonzalez tore through the Pacific like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 23 years old. The young Omaha starter posted a 4-1 mark and an ERA of 0.85 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 31.2 innings he collected 27 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .207 average. This year Gonzalez has fanned 58 in 63 innings and collected a 4-5 record with a 4.29 ERA. |
