Durham's Hit Streak Over
Tuesday, July 28th, 1998
The hitting streak that Danville second baseman Ray Durham had kept going for 22 games was ended today by the Brooklyn Cyclones. Durham was stymied over 4 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 7-5 victory at Ballpark of Fremont.

"Hitting streaks come and go," Durham said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."

During the current season Durham is batting at a .403 clip with 10 home runs and 42 RBIs. He has played in 34 games and scored 35 times.
