6-Hit Barrage by Zaun Friday, July 31st, 1998 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Gregg Zaun today. Zaun went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Rochester pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale, he had a 6-for-7 line and a day he will long remember. And the Buffalo Bisons had a 21-9 victory over the Red Wings. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Gregg Zaun singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Mike Buddie in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Currently Zaun is batting .278 with 8 home runs and 59 RBIs. View Boxscore View Game Log |
