New Orleans's Chavez Bags PAC Batting Award Saturday, August 1st, 1998 New Orleans Brass fans believe they've got a talented young star in Eric Chavez. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in July, as he hit .413 with 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and 38 runs scored. The end result was the third baseman being named the Pacific Batter of the Month. For the season Chavez is hitting .332, batted in 94 runs with 18 home runs and 103 runs scored. |
