Division Remains Up for Grabs, but Hartford in Postseason Sunday, August 2nd, 1998 Hartford Whalers fans had reason to rejoice tonight, as the team is heading to the Hugg Baseball League playoffs. With a record of 73-41, Hartford is guaranteed a spot in the postseason, although it remains to be officially decided whether or not that's as Atlantic Northeast champions or in a wild card position. "We have fantastic fans and it feels good to give them something to cheer about," said starting pitcher Ugueth Urbina. "Hopefully there's a lot more celebrating to come." |
