Bisons Captures Wild Card Sunday, August 9th, 1998 There's more drama in store for fans of the Buffalo Bisons. The team has narrowly won a wild card berth in the season's final days and now will be looking to parlay that into the 4th World Series championship in team history. "Never in doubt, we knew we'd get in," joked first baseman Brian Daubach as he mockingly wiped sweat from his brow. "Now that we're in, we can relax a bit." But there won't be too much relaxing, as the Hugg Baseball League playoffs are right around the corner. |
