Marlins Walk Off with 6-5 Win
The Florida Marlins topped the Boston Red Sox, 6-5, in Federal League action at Joe Robbie Stadium. The player of the game was Florida pitcher Sterling Hitchcock. Florida reliever Bryan Harvey was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Mike Remlinger took the loss for Boston. This loss makes it 13 in a row for Boston.

The Marlins beat the Red Sox in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Luis Castillo produced in the bottom of the tenth. Batting against Boston pitcher A J Sager, Castillo gave his team a 6-5 lead when he hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Castillo.
