Sanders has 5 RBI, Royals Move to 81-49
A 5-RBI performance from the top prospect Reggie L. Sanders helped the Kansas City Royals beat the Boston Red Sox, 11-3. The Royals have an impressive 81-49 record.

Quilvio Veras had a big bases-clearing triple for the Royals in the bottom of the first inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Mike Remlinger and stroked the triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Royals ahead, 4-0.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Veras said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
