The Danville Dairy Daddies picked up a win at Kernels Ballpark, knocking off the Rochester Red Wings, 8-4. On the mound for Danville was right-hander Pete Harnisch, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Harnisch, now 1-0. He tossed 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. Danville is off to a hot start at 2-0.

The Dairy Daddies beat the Red Wings with some clutch hitting. The triple by Scott Fletcher in the bottom of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Fletcher gave his team the lead, 4-3, when he came through with the big hit.
