The Danville Dairy Daddies downed the Rochester Red Wings, 8-3, at Kernels Ballpark. Javier Valentin led the way, going 3-for-4 for Danville. Shinji Imanaka earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 9 strikeouts. Danville, now 3-0, is setting the league on fire so far.

David Ortiz had a nice at-bat for the Dairy Daddies with one out in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, the designated hitter hit a 2-run home run, which would prove important in the Danville win.
