Beasties Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
Bluff City designated hitter Joe Oliver played a vital role in his team's 13-1 triumph over Milwaukee. He was 1 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for Bluff City. The Beasties, with just their 3rd win so far in 1998, have yet to catch fire.

Bluff City used the timely hitting of Paul O'Neill to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Beasties on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
