|
Getting an impressive start from Blake Stein, Rochester beat Buffalo by the score of 6-2. Stein, now 1-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing 2 earned runs. The Bisons fall to 5-9 and continue their wobbly start to the 1998 season.
It could have been a different outcome for Rochester, had it not been for Paul Lo Duca, the 26-year old catcher . Lo Duca contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Rochester up, 3-0.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager , "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
