David Bell did a number on the Bisons in the Hartford 10-3 victory today, and the number was 5. The Whalers second baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Wolves Ballpark to lead his club past the Buffalo Bisons.

"I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."

David Bell hit a three-run home run off Shawn Boskie in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
