Suns Come Back Late to Top Red Wings

Rochester got a terrific performance from pitcher Jarrod Washburn, but it wasn't enough to beat the Jacksonville Suns. Jacksonville won the Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale contest, 4-1. Washburn was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. Shayne Bennett earned the save, his 2nd. The Red Wings, now 5-10, continue their slow start.
Alvaro Espinoza had a productive trip to the plate with two out in the top of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, he reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run, helping Jacksonville to the win.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Jacksonville skipper .
