Loss Extends Asheville Losing Streak
|
The Bluff City Beasties topped the Asheville Moonshiners by the score of 8-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Jeff Treadway. Treadway hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Beasties on the day. The Moonshiners, now 4-12, continue their slow start.
With Bluff City trailing 3-2 in the top of the third, Treadway hit a fastball from Masaki Saito for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Beasties ahead, 4-3.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Treadway.
