A 4-RBI performance from right fielder Ryan Thompson, who is tied for 7th in the ATL with a 1.141 OPS, led the Columbus Clippers to a 7-5 win over the Ocean City Blue Crabs. Vladimir Nunez nailed down his 3rd save. With the loss, Ocean City drops to 10-6.

Thompson had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the fifth when the 30-year old center fielder hit a 2-run home run. The home run gave Columbus the lead, 7-3. It was his 5th home run of the season.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Columbus manager .
