|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs picked up a win at Fire Dogs Ballpark, knocking off the Columbus Clippers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ariel Prieto was an essential part of his team's success. Prieto, now 3-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. Ocean City goes to 11-6 with the win.
Jeff Abbott had a nice at-bat for the Blue Crabs with one out in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, the left fielder hit a 2-run single, which would prove important in the Ocean City win.
"The more wins we pile up," said Abbott, "the more I like our chances."
