Otters Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
The Milwaukee Otters beat the Ocean City Blue Crabs, 14-6, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Joe Vitiello, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Allen Watson got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in 6.2 innings. Milwaukee, now 14-5, has played well in the early going.

In the top of the first, with Milwaukee leading 1-0, Howard Battle hit a fastball from Chad Ogea for a run-scoring single, giving the Otters the lead, 2-0.

Battle expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
