Moonshiners Continue Skid Thanks to Ortiz, Dairy Daddies
The Danville Dairy Daddies topped the Asheville Moonshiners by the score of 10-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter David Ortiz. Ortiz was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Dairy Daddies on the day. Trever Miller recorded his 1st save for Danville. No one expected much of this team but the hot start by Danville might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. The win today pushes their record to 13-5.

Ronnie Belliard contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that propelled Danville to the win.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Belliard.
