Spirited fans at Paradise Grounds greeted the Savannah Swamp Foxes for their clash with the Bluff City Beasties.

Bluff City beat Savannah on the strength of starter Hector Fajardo's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 7-2 win. With the win, Bluff City improves its record to 8-10.

An important at-bat for the Beasties came in the top of the fifth, when shortstop Alex Gonzalez stroked a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2 in favor of Bluff City. For the day, Gonzalez went 2-4 with a double and a walk.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Gonzalez told the Bluff City Herald.
