Swamp Foxes Prove Rude Guests, Win 5-2 at Bluff City
|
Savannah and Bluff City duked it out at Ravens Ballpark and the Swamp Foxes came out victorious.
Savannah pitcher Don Schulze did his part in helping his team beat the Bluff City Beasties, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Earning his 2nd save for Savannah was Dustin Hermanson.
Helping the Savannah cause was Koji Goto. In the top of the first, the 23-year old center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 1-0, Swamp Foxes.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Schulze after the game.
The Beasties fall to 9-11 and continue their lackluster start in 1998.
