Victory Pushes Whalers Record to 11-9
|
Hartford right fielder Robert Fick made his presence felt in the 9-5 Whalers triumph over the Jacksonville Suns. Fick was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win brings the Whalers to 11-9, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Fick came through with some timely hitting for Hartford. With the score 1-1 in the top of the third and no one down, Fick hit a 1-0 changeup for a run-scoring single. His 30th hit of the season made it 2-1, Hartford.
"I felt good up there," said Fick. "I saw the ball well."
