Marc Sagmoen helped his team muscle past the Bluff City Beasties, 7-1. In the game, the Buffalo right fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. John H. Doherty got the win, improving to 2-4. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The Bisons are off to a tough start, getting just their 9th win in 23 games.
With Buffalo leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Sagmoen hit a fastball from Hector Fajardo for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Bisons ahead, 4-0.
